Updates!

I just wanted to touch on a few key things to keep you updated on the progress of Vigilante Project. If this is your first time here, don’t forget to become a fan of (or now, to Like) our Facebook page. Also, if you need to get in touch with us for any reason, contact us as soon as possible.

Hollywood Meeting

I had a fantastic meeting Saturday with Mrs. Cutler-Rubenstein of Noble House Entertainment, Inc. and The Script Broker. I learned a lot which I am applying in my writing. It was nice to speak to someone that has been there and done that, and it was encouraging to hear that she believes in the project. We even went as far as to talk about possible actors and actresses for the film. She has a ton of experience producing and encouraged us to act as Executive Producers in bringing this project to life. It will be nice having her as a guide as we move forward through this process.

New Art

Some of you have asked for more art. Well more art isn’t easy on time or easy on the wallet, but thankfully Mr. Carreon continues to supply us with awesome work. This latest stuff was experimenting with different holsters, and gear, but Andy also sent over a pretty cool action shot. Check out his most recent concept sketches by clicking the thumbnails or by visiting the Comic page, and be sure to visit his web site at www.artstudioexhibit.com.

Anime Expo

Last but definitely not least, Vigilante Project was recently approved to be part of the programming for the Anime Expo July 1st-4th. We’re not sure exactly which day or time slot we will have, but stay tuned for updates. If you would like to come out and support us, please do.

That does it for now. Keep checking back for new art, new contacts, and new information.

The latest…

On the comic/graphic novel side, we are working with an amazing artist Mr. Adriano “Andy” Carreon who has done some awesome concept art for us and even a Vigilante Project poster.

We met Andy Carreon at the Anaheim Comic Con and we were blown away by his work. We quickly commissioned him to do some concept work for us, and we were very pleased with his first submission. Furthermore, he has designed a limited edition poster for us that we will be showing and selling at the Long Beach Comic Con. Check out a sample of his work below and on the comic page, and be sure to visit his web site at www.artstudioexhibit.com.

Also at the Anaheim Comic Con we met with actor, producer, and director Mr. Treva Etienne.  Perhaps you are not familiar with the name, but I’m sure that you are familiar with his work. Click the links to check out his reel, his IMDB, and his wiki page. Treva and I have been e-mailing back and forth, and he is very interested in Vigilante Project. We’ll see where this leads.

In other news, I come to find out that my cousin-in-law (if there is such a thing) works for Skywalker Sound. I knew that she was “in the biz” and that she had worked on Avatar and a number of big films, but never did I ever think that she had ties to Mr. Lucas. This is a BIG deal for me and a RIDICULOUSLY HUGE deal for Phil who just happens to be President of the Orange County Star Wars Society. Need I say more?

I clued her in to what I was doing with Vigilante Project and she wants to handle the sound. So I guess now when I pitch the film, I can say that we have commitments from Skywalker Sound. What’s more is that she invited us up there to tour the facilities. However, she says to really appreciate the joint we need to attend a screening of a film. Well, don’t twist my arm! Okay, I’m done with the fan boy portion of the update.

Thanks to good old Craig’s List I came across Devorah (Devo) Cutler-Rubenstein and her company The Script Broker. Devo has a resume as long as my arm, and she has committed to helping us with coverage, and in developing the script. Once we’re finished, I hope that she believes in it enough to use some of her contacts to get the thing sold and made.

Lee McDermott is a stunt coordinator and fight choreographer that has appeared in 2 Pirates of the Caribbean films, but has also worked as a fight choreographer on Master and Commander, and as a director, and actor on a number of projects as well. Lee has expressed an interest in working with Yvette Avenue Productions on Vigilante Project as well.

So, that’s the update. If this is your first time here, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, and to become a fan of (or now, to Like) our Facebook page. Also, if you need to get in touch with us for any reason, contact us as soon as possible.

Comic Con was explosive!!!

We came, we saw, we conquered.

Today was our big day at the Anaheim Comic Con! Though we decided that having a booth was a bit premature, we were able to meet and speak with a number of amazing artists, writers, actors, and directors. We hope that these new contacts will help to bring the best Vigilante Project to you the consumer, and to bring it to you sooner than later.

If this is your first time here, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, and to become a fan on our Facebook page. Also, if you need to get in touch with us for any reason, contact us as soon as possible.

This new picture is a piece of concept art brought to you by a graphic artist known simply as rVolt. Though our hero doesn’t really blow up anything (I think that rVolt is a bit of a pyromaniac), we liked what he did with the character and especially the mask.
