The Story

Vigilante Project is a new comic book series from Yvette Avenue Productions. Our main character is Alvin Gentry. He’s a normal college student with something of a dark past. When Alvin’s kid sister is kidnapped, raped, and murdered, he initially trusts the police to find the person responsible. As the investigation stalls, Alvin uncovers a clue that could help solve the case.

Ignored by police and with more and more time passing, our hero decides to find the assailant himself. With no special training, experience, or resources Alvin takes on what he calls his vigilante project and sets out to find his sister’s killer. But Alvin can’t just become a vigilante, he has to learn how. What would you do? Where would you start?

Along the way Alvin seeks counsel from a local priest and falls in love with his married apartment manager. But when Alvin discovers that there is more to his sister’s disappearance than meets the eye, he will take on more than he ever expected, risking it all to save another little girl that is being held by the same man.

What’s Next?

Vigilante Project: The Confessional

In November 2011 we released Vigilante Project: The Confessional. It is a short, 9-page book called an ashcan which served as a preview for the upcoming Vigilante Project series. The ashcan picks up in the middle of our story in order to showcase the character, his costume, weapons, and abilities.

Chris Dickens
Writer, Creator, Editor In Chief

Chris Dickens is one-half of Yvette Avenue Productions; the Creators, Writers, and Executive Producers of Vigilante Project. An award-winning writer, Mr. Dickens studied English, with a Creative Writing emphasis at Colorado Mesa University (formerly Mesa State College). An experienced actor, stand-up comedian, and musician, Chris Dickens loves to create and to perform.



Phil Morgenthaler
Writer, Creator

Phil Morgenthaler is an accomplished theater actor, director, and novelist. As the other half of Yvette Avenue Productions, Mr. Morgenthaler is responsible for the creation and Executive Production of Vigilante Project as well. Actively involved in charity work and community theater, Phil Morgenthaler has written, directed, and starred in a number of live productions and fan films.



Chris Campana
Pencils

Chris Campana is the Co-Owner and Chief Storyboard Artist for WyrlWynd Studios. A devoted family man, Mr. Campana has been drawing for as long as he can remember, with his first printed work published in 1997 with Caliber Comics. In addition to producing comic books, WyrlWynd Studios also consults and designs all types of visual art.



Nik Poliwko
Inks

Nik Poliwko is a freelance comic-book creator, writer and filmmaker. In comics Nik has worked for a number of indie publishers, including Catfish Comics, A.C. Comics, Andromeda, Revisionary Press and Vortex among others.

Dubbed, “The busiest guy no one has heard of!” Nik brings a wealth of talent and experience to the team, and we are fortunate to have him.



Ronald Wybraniec
Colors and Letters

Ron is the Co-Owner, Colorist, and resident computer Jedi for WyrlWynd Studios. Ron has been working in the computer arts/graphic design/web design field for over 15 years for multiple east coast based companies. In addition to producing comic books, WyrlWynd Studios also consults and designs all types of visual art.
